What this tool does
Video to MP3 takes the first audio track of your video and encodes it as an MP3 at the bitrate you choose — 128, 192 or 320 kbps. The video track is discarded, so the result is a small, portable audio file.
How to use it
Choose a video that contains sound, pick the audio quality and start processing. The MP3 appears with a download link that stays valid for 30 minutes.
Supported formats and limits
Input: MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM or AVI up to 128 MiB, 10 minutes and 1080p. Output: MP3 at your chosen constant bitrate. The file must contain an audio track.
Common errors and fixes
INVALID_FILE: the video has no audio track, so there is nothing to extract. FILE_TOO_LARGE and VIDEO_TOO_LONG: the source exceeds 128 MiB or 10 minutes. PROCESSING_TIMEOUT: try a shorter file.

Does the video need audio?
Yes. Videos without an audio track cannot produce an MP3.
Which bitrate is right for me?
Choose 128 kbps for speech and lectures, 192 kbps for everyday music listening and 320 kbps when you want the maximum this tool offers. Higher bitrates mean larger files, not added source detail.
Are titles, cover art or chapters kept?
No. The MP3 is written without metadata tags or embedded artwork, and chapters are removed. Keep your original file if you need that information.
Can I convert an audio file to MP3 instead?

How long is the MP3 kept?
Result files are deleted automatically 30 minutes after processing. Download your file promptly and keep your original video.
What are the file limits?
Up to 128 MiB, 10 minutes and 1920 pixels on either edge (2073600 total pixels; portrait supported), with up to 8 audio/video streams. Processing time depends on the operation. Uploads resume from the last completed chunk during this session; paused uploads expire after 15 minutes.
How long are files kept?
Inputs and temporary files are deleted after processing or failure. Download results within 30 minutes.
